An English Pale Ale, Bitter today is the traditional English pub cask Ale. Strength is indicated by ordinary, best or extra special bitter. Today, in North America, it’s a “session beer” due to its drinkability and low alcohol content.

A: The beer is clear dark red in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that has good retention properties and hardly died down.
S: Light aromas of biscuit malts are present in the nose along with hints of fruity yeast.
T: The taste follows the smell, starting off with flavors of biscuit malts and finishing with hints of fruity yeast and bits of associated sweetness. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and rather malty on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to have a nice balance between the maltiness and fruitness.
