Draft at Farmers' Cabinet.
Pours a dark ruby red color that's almost brown with golden amber edges and a two finger off white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. The glass is left coated with chunks of soapy lacing.
Earthy aroma with a soil like quality that meshes with the funky yeast and zesty spice notes. Hints of grass, straw, roasted malt, pepper and subtle fruit.
Medium bodied with a slight syrupy, medicinal character. Lots of bready yeast with subtle funk. String spice presence with hints of pepper, clove and coriander. This is countered by sweet malts and very faint roast along with some dark fruit. Decent but a bit odd. My least favorite of the three in the series I've had so far.

Pours a dark brown with some rusty highlights, thin ring of prickly white bubbles. Moderate roast and toast notes lead off, some pungent lemon notes come through with strong white and black pepper notes. Taste leads with toast and roast, lemon rind more than juice, strong spicy notes, white and black pepper, firmly yeasty. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, quite dry. Different in composition, slightly too peppery to get a full appreciation of the notes or to consider it refreshing.

Dark brown pour with a small, dense cap of tan head; moderate retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, grassy funk, and light spice. Taste is fairly roasty, leafy, notes of cocoa, sweet malts, grass and lemon peel, light peppery spice in the background. Medium body, a bit awkwardly sour, but decently drinkable overall.
