375 ml bottle. Pours hazy medium golden, two finger white head, fades slowly to a blob with lots of lacing. Tart funky aroma. Light bready malt with lemony tartness and Brett funkiness. Some nice citrusy hops keep the funk in check, blend very well together. Medium semi soft mouthfeel and crisp dry finish. Like this hoppy sour, first Crooked Stave brew did not disappoint.

Served On-Tap @ CS
A — Pours with a lemony yellow and semi-hazy hue into the glass. A billowy white head sits on-top and leaves behind some random bits of lacing.
S — Lots of funk and hops here, little bit of a barnyard funk initially with notes of barn floor, horse blanket, hay, grass, leads into a hoppy and bitter foray of aromas.
T — Tastes much like the nose would suggest, with notes of funky Brett initially. Leads way to a bitter and hoppy profile of pine, lemon, and light citrus, little bit of tartness, but mostly subdued.
M — Light-Medium bodied with a little bit of a sharp and prickly finish.
O — Good overall, very mellow though for CS.

On draft at Freshcraft.
Appearance: cloudy, pale golden. Nice, white 1 finger head, which fades quickly to a thin lacing.
Aroma: sour and funk. The aroma reminds me of a dirty urinal with a toilet mint. I don't mean this is a negative way; it's just what comes to mind.
Flavor: the sour dominates the initial taste, folowed immediately by the hops, which then transitions into the funk. Funk is earthy - not so much leather and wood as earthy. This beer is hoppier than I would expect in a sour.
Mouthfeel: a tad shy (or thin) of medium. The mouthfeel leaves nothing to be desired.
Overall: an enjoyable beer, but not the best that Crooked Stave offers. This beer is good but lacks the "wow" factor.
