Sample on tap at What’s Brewing BF, Stavanger. Lemony / citrussy and very refreshing, but not extreme. I liked this one.

Bottle at home. Pale straw yellow, hazy, with a thin white head. Huge smell of lemons, followed by caramel, honey, brett, wild funk. The taste is moderately tart, with notes of lemons, funk, honey and elderflowers. Medium to light body, medium carbonation and a tart and refreshing aftertaste.

With the witbier base that Crooked Stave uses to pile on a host of tartness, citrus character and hops, there seems to be no limit in the series' possibilities.
But over top the typical wheat and yogurt-like scent, bolder citrus flavor fly towards the nose with orange, lemon and most notably- lime. Hazy and light straw in its color, the beer leads with a creamy sweet and sour interplay that's remiss of sweetheart candy and gentle wafts of leather and damp hay.
As the ale blooms on the middle palate, its sweetness acquiesces to the earth and sour and the taste of lime and kiwi begin to outweigh those of orange, apple or sour white grape. With the sturcture of wheat playing a supporting role the culmination of tangy lime and grain seems to resemble key-lime pie. But with the earthiness of burlap, straw, hay and curing leather, and funkier tone is also stricken.
Dry but remaining soft and creamy, the ale's acidity and an tenacious micro flora dissects the malt and ensures a light and powdery body. Hints of cedar and balsa follow in finish with those white wine wine vinous, almost apple cider vinegar, notes cleans the palate and refreshes the thirst with absolute ease.

Aroma is bread crust, lemons, wheat and mild spices. The flavor is lemons, berries/candy, wheat/malts, fruit and a long and tart/slightly sweet finish.

Light golden, hazy once the sediment is poured. Light malt base and Brett aromas. Fresh bright lemon. Taste is lightly tart with Brett and bright citrus tart lemon juice and pith. Sediment add a nice vinegar sour flavor that enhances the bright citrus.
