Well, the aroma was great. Looks like a mess. Head was 3 fingers, which takes up most of the 1/2 size order. Looks like light orange juice. Aroma entices, but the flavor doesn't follow it. It's a light hop flavor that goes well with the floral yeast, but it is overtaken by the yeast in flavor and feel. Fairly dry without the bite. Finishes light and airy.

i always wondered if a day would come where these guys would ever do a not wild beer, and it finally has. this is their first i think, and it gives me a whole new layer of respect for them, coming in like this with such a good ipa first kick at the can. very much an east coast style example here, milky and super thick, like creamed corn in appearance, really its got no light coming in at all, a muted goldenrod color, and a short film of pure white head that stays. smells majorly juicy, mosaic maybe right off the bat, perhaps a hint of nelson or something else new zealand too, its southern hemisphere and tropical for sure. certainly some wheat in the grain base, absolutely not filtered, it has some real fleshy sort of body to it, but it never feels heavy because of how the hops taste like guavas and lemons and such. very little yeast character to this, aside from the crackery base with the grain, but this has no funk, no acid, no wild, just fresh and more or less flavorless or at least fermenting agent. on the dry side, but not too quick, very drinkable for how hearty it is at the same time. not to say this could have come from hill farmstead or anything, but its obvious what they are shooting for, and it get this good on the first whack is pretty awesome. nicely done dudes! they should make this all the time.

Very hazy, like a light colored orange juice. Aroma is very hop forward, nice citrus and pine mix. Cold, this beer is very hoppy, with a nice pop on the tongue. However, as it warms, the oats really smooth out the hop bite and give it more of a creamy mouth feel.

Appearance: Hazy OJ no pulp, light white head, definitely opaque.
Aroma: Minimal citrus notes, could be dry-hopped more
Taste: Bitterness masked by oats tastes sweet like citrus (orange) and well balanced bready malt backbone
Mouthfeel: Oats help with this one making it extremely drinkable, clean soft finish
