7/1...pours bright gold, ring of white foam. Strong fruity sour. Heavy sour flavors backed by a woodsy bitter. Oaky. Smooth mouthfeel. Outstanding style hybrid.

Enjoyed at Crooked Stave in Denver, Co. POUR: On draft into a 10oz tulip. APPEARANCE: Light golden amber in color. Somewhat hazy in appearance. No real effervescence. Arrived with a large rocky white head. Settled over time to a thin film. Glass lacing present. Volatile upon the swirl. Head appears and lasts before reducing. AROMA: Very pungent brew. Funky Brett and almost medicine-like in aroma. Sour notes and funk dominate. White wine grapes also are present. TASTE: Explosion of sour and pucker inducing on the first sip. Dry and tart. After the tart sour recedes it reveals a nice woody oak quality per aging in oak barrels. AFTERTASTE: Brew finishes crisp and clean. The oak flavor really shines on the back end. NOTES: Well crafted brew. Nice balance between tart and funky sour and woody oak. REVIEW/RATING: Very Good/ 4.59 out of 5.
