Brewed with more hops than we have ever used in a single beer, this resinous trellis-busting hop bomb is bursting with bold character. We've tailored the malt profile to deliver a ridiculously smooth and drinkable double IPA; dry-hopped with Azacca, Citram Motueka, and Simcoe.

Pours a very hazy, to the point of being turbid, almost dirty dull yellow gold producing 2 fingers of glowing white, moderately lasting, frothy head that leaves a scattered webby frosting of lace. Although it has a nice head and lacing the color and clarity detract from its presentation (to my eye). If they were after a hazy IPA with the clarity of grapefruit juice they sure got it right, so on second thought, if such is the case I guess you could consider it quite attractive. Nose is tangerine, orange, grapefruit notes with tropical, floral (gardenia?) and pine hints in a sweet, biscuity pale malt. Taste is delicate for the style but is nevertheless a fruit hoppy flavor bomb: citrus forward with tangerine, orange and grapefruit these are joined by pineapple, peach, floral and pine to dominate the biscuit, pale malt; all is awash in a pleasant sweetness. Pine is present but very little bitterness. Starts sweet and remains so throughout until a bitterness pops up in the developing aftertaste, rapidly replacing all sweet and fruity flavors. The aftertaste is very short-lived. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, smooth, wet, rich, creamy and tongue coating. I have no idea if this has oats in the malt bill but the creaminess and smoothness would indicate that it does. My goodness this is a great beer! Even with it's depth of hoppiness and 8% ABV it is extremely drinkable.

Can to tulip.
The appearance was a semi-murky orange cloudy color with a nice looking slim cap of white foaminess in its head. That slid off nicely to leave some semi-sticky sporadic lace.
The aroma spoke unbelievably in volumes of sweet pine and citrus bittersweet hops. Subtle biscuit malt rides in underneath.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side initially but seemed to open up with the bitterness trying to balance more as it warms. Honestly, I'd say it does a great job. Mellow aftertaste of pine, citrus and floral hops.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a floral hop dryness causing this to be a sipper. Which is quite nice as I was hoping some of the malts would be pushed further back to not overcome the overall out take on this beer. This one finishes clean with pine, floral and some grassiness.
Definitely one I would come back to.

This is an IPA?! I can’t believe the high ratings; did I get a bad beer?! Looks like an IPA but tastes like straight grain! On draft at Old Chicago, Powers Rd, Colorado Springs.

Trellis Buster has a thick, off-white head, an opaque, milky-gold appearance, and heavy glass lacing. The aroma is of fruit salad, hop resins, and white bread crust. The flavor is similar, with some bitternesss. Mouthfeel is somewhat heavy, and Trellis Buster finishes a bit sweet.

Large, dense head. Slow to recede; lots of lumps. The liquid is cloudy, giving the beer a dirty gold color, almost amber. One ring of lace, after that it's literally spotty.
Darker toast notes initially to the nose, but the story here is the extensive hopping--there's obviously a blend of varieties as I smell flowers, earth-tones, and tropical fruit. Subtle and interesting.
Creamy start with a richer (body and taste) pale malt beginning. The tropical fruit is also present on the tongue. It's not quite the hop bomb the name suggests. The hop is strong but more balanced than extreme. Good length of aftertaste.

2 month old can (since canning)
Look: pours like a deep golden OJ with a nice and frothy 1" white head that retains well. NEIPA hazy. some uneven lacing was observed.
Smell: aromas of resiny, piney hops. tropical fruits (mandarin and papaya). light malts, hay.
Taste: mostly citrusy flavors not unlike OJ and other semi-sweet citrus juices, with good light malt balance but with bold, assertive bitterness that earns it's DIPA classification well.
Feel: medium body, resiny and creamy texture, moderate carbonation and pronounced astringency. finishes short, mostly dry with bitterness that lingers and pounds the palate hard
Overall: this is one of those NEDIPA (although the NE tag is nowhere on the can's label) that combines the best of both east and west coast IPAs. drinks smooth, hop character focuses on aromas and flavors but... the early addition bittering hops are also there to wreck your palate! another solid (and incredibly affordable) beer from CS!

Poured a cloudy yellow body with some nice aromas of citric hops and touches of malt. Smooth, clean, yummy, citric hops that pack a good but not overdone bitterness and a lovely light tropical fruit sweetness on the finish with touches of sweet malts.
