Copenhagen 11/8 2019. 37,5 cl bottle from Mikkeller Web-shop. The version i am drinking only has a ABV of 6,0. Peach tree on the label.
Pours hazy, golden yellow with a small white head. Bubbly. Settles as flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is nicely balanced between a fruity sweetness and a sharp sourness. Sweet peach meets gentle vinegar. Unripe sour berries. Moderately strong vinegar. Sugar. Moderate funk.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively texture.
Flavor has a light but notable sweetness followed by a strong sourness. Aftertaste is sour with a light sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Dry, vinous finish.
Nice sour punch with a solid touch of Vinegar. But enough sweetness to make it pleasant.

On tap. Unclear golden color with almost no head. Aroma has unripe stonefruits, also some juicy peach and funky yeast. Taste is sour and really fruity with a light fruit pit bitterness on the finish. Medium to light body, low carbonation, really dry mouthfeel. A really nice, fruity sour with some funky brett notes on top.

375ml bottle. Served in a Cellar Reserve 2014 stemmed glass. Haven't used this one in a while. Pours a cloudy golden yellow body, slight copper hue, one finger white head, good retention, splotchy lacing. Smell is peach skin and flesh, mild lemon acetic acidity, a slight grainy sweetness, touch of leather and a bit of peach ring sweetness. Not much lactose, thankfully. Flavour is tart peach flesh, a bit of grainy sweetness, peach fuzz, leather, lemon, moderate acetic acid, a bit of peach rings. I think the lactose adds a bit of sweetness that contributes to the peach ring candy character that is not normally present in the base Persica. Pretty nice. Not too sweet or pastry-like. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit slicker than the usual dry brett-forward base, perhaps from the lactose. Peach rings on the finish. I picked this up and thought Omnipollo could only make an excellent beer into a lousy beer. I'm glad to have been proven wrong- this is very solid.

this is killer beer, crooked stave has a way with peaches in wild ale, this has to be about the 20th iteration of peaches in wild beer for them, if not more, this one in collaboration with omnipollo, hence the milk sugar, seems like thats all those guys do anymore is lactose beers. in any event, this is a cool follow up to the raspberry one, which has improved over time, but this one is killer right away. pale golden in color with a surprising degree of clarity for what it is, just a soft haze to it and a tall white head from the tap, sets up the sexy aroma really well. its got such a natural peach complexion here, the essence of the fruit, all yellow and ripe and fuzzy, it makes my mouth water even without the tart funkiness this has, very crooked stave, the lactose doesnt do a lot to the nose, this isnt sweet or desserty to me here. the flavor is great too, a little grain contribution keeps it beery, while the peaches are intense and natural and sweet for a moment before the acidity and oak tannins come in and balance it off. lots of bretty funk here but also a bacterial element i would think adding some pucker. smooth from the wood, white winey and delicate there, but distinct and super complimentary to the peaches. the lactose does have it feeling a little creamy and sweet, faint vanilla there too, but the acidity keeps it from being too much. awesome beer overall, highly drinkable and really forward with the ripe peaches. cool labels too, and worth the asking price!
