12/25/19 can:
50cl. Pull-tab.
"Munich style helles lager." 4.7% ABV.
Grassy. Munich malt. Some vague kellerbier-like oxygenation is present that doesn't belong, making it a bit cardboardy. Thin and weak on the palate, lacking the firm body and crisp carbonation the style needs.
Not the clean drinking light-bodied refreshing helles lager I hoped for, but it's drinkable.
Crooked Stave doesn't excel with this attempt at a Munich helles lager. One can't help but wonder if the oxygenation flavour is a subtle symptom of a deeper issue with brewery cleanliness with respect to yeast.
