Clear body, pale yellow in color; very lively carbonation; thick and soapy head, white with patchy flecks of foam adhering to the glass. Light cereal grain smell with a vibrant, grassy nose; herbal with some intangible ester qualities. Fine mild sweetness with a well-balanced hop spiciness on first taste; mild red berry flavor. Medium body; a bit weak in feel; delicate residual sugar note yet finishes with a predominantly dry character.
It appears that Diamant hops are derived from Saaz hops. Crooked Stave did a nice job with the beer, producing a easy drinking pilsner with tons of subtle Saaz-like flavors with a nice touch of fruitiness to liven things up a bit.
