Still cranking out the last of the Thanksgiving beers leftpaw brought out. Just added this beer to the database and I'll also give it a review because I'm not a total sociopath. Anyways, this is both the burgundy and gin barrel beer. DOUBLE BARRELS!!! (loud gape mouth soy noises).

Pours a dark brown and purple. Its like the opposite of being raised on country sunshine. The aroma actually passes on those gin berries to the nose. Like, when they (Bruery) makes Tart of Darkness from a bourbon barrel, its like all gone. There are no bourbon notes. Here, the gin remains. That tangy twig and berries feel. Sure, sourness. Dark sourness.

Taste proves this to be about one of the most unique beers I had in 2021. Ample red wine, currant and plum sourness, blackberry, then all that sticks and gin whatnot, pepper no salt. A lot more dry in the mouth feel than the appearance would suggest.

Also our bottle says 6.36% abv. I guess there are a few different vintages or batches with minor abv variation. Check it out though, different than say, every other beer I've had?
