unexpected and good. i have not had a ton of the crooked stave clean beer, so i was excited to see this. soft and hazy, yellow at the darkest, cloudy without being dense, still bright from the tap and holding an inch of airy delicate looking white head, tidy in appearance for what it is. a little peach up front in the nose, some fresh pale wheat malt i reckon too, but its the hops out in front, melon notes from the el dorado are right there highlighting the ripe peach, making my mouth water, a great hop selection there, the others add a little herbal bitterness and a faint tropical almost coconut note, all of it very fresh and a tiny bit understated. real drinkable stuff here, the hops and the fruit go together real well, and this is cleanly fermented and dry, clearly they are masters of more than just wild yeasts, this is technically expert too. the peach is ripe and real, the hops are super complimentary to it, and this is juicy and delicious, only a little bit bitter but still squarely in the ipa realm. i love it being this dry, and the proportions of everything are right, its not overdone in any way. good carbonation, enough grain flavor, thirst quenching and distinctive. generally not a huge fruited ipa guy, but this one hits as especially authentic and thoughtful, really well executed!

Good integration of hops and tasty Colorado peach. Helps beat the heat.Ft. Collins location tap. Not all flavoured IPAs work, but this worked with their peach forward strength.
