Wow this is a tart beer for the amount of peaches in it! Crooked Stave knows sours, and this is right in their wheelhouse, so if you like that style you'll love this one. The fruit doesn't overpower the graham cracker crust flavor from the cobbler portion of the beer, and it's very light and drinkable once you get past the pucker of the sour portion. Interesting beer, sort of a dessert in a glass but not a super sweet one by any means.

Crooked Stave just does things differently. Disregard the cobbler, cinnamon and vanilla words on the label, their peach beer is anything but pastry. Fully fermented and juiced with peaches, this beer is ideally peachy to the most staunch sour ale fans.
Its with a faintly hazy golden pour, Peach Cobbler teems with streaming bubbles to fuel a loose and fleeting white froth. As a jaw-tightening scent of citrus, orchard fruit, light funk and fauna swirls about the nose, notions of sandalwood, balsa and weathered woods carry a sharp and peppery perfume. Anything resembling sweetness is short, dry and wafer-thin.
The burst of fruitiness develops quickly on the middle palate with a heightened acidity of lime, lemon, grapefruit and gooseberry with hints of crabapple and sour white grape ramping up the fruitiness. All wrapped in a cocoon of peach, the natural pitted fruit acidity only amplifies the already intense sourness. A light pectin balance is peppery and reels in oaken dryness with a soft woody finish.
Light, crisp and stripping any thirst from the palate with ease, Peach Cobbler has a quick finish with hints of burlap and fruit skins in aftertaste. Its good enough to make your face stick that way.
