i love this brewery. had this on tap at euclid hall last night. it poured an incredibly flat looking hazy blonde/orange color with almost no head. it smells like the white wine for sure, a bit of brett, and pale malt. flavor is really nice i thought, lots of complexity. white wine and wood flavors are present throughout, but especially in the finish. the yeast is complimentarily spicy, and it went great with my duck poutine. feel was the drawback for me, this needed more carbonation to make it sing. seemed less exciting because of this, but it had a good medium body and im sure will get better in time. definitely worth a try.

on tap at funkweks.

A: a clear reddish-orange, with a white head.

S: when i smelled this the first thing i thought was, "woah". pretty intense aroma here, and i'm not sure how much i like it. lots of lavender. it has a huge floral aroma, and some spice as well. there is a little bit of sweetness in the nose, as well as some oak and earth. lavender and flowers definitely dominate. it about the only thing i can smell. i get a touch of gummy bears, white pepper, and coriander. you could make a successful candle aroma with this scent. as it warms i get some melon aromas, which is welcomed.

T: the aroma comes through quite a bit here as well. lots of lavender and flowers. in the back i get some bitterness and earth. a touch of spice and some oak. the floral taste dominates, just like the aroma, almost the only thing I can taste. hints of straw come through on the back end. i do get some more funk and earthiness as it arms.

M: medium with medium carb. pretty smooth.

O: this is an ok beer. i don't think i would ever order it again though. funkwerks and crooked stave have better options. i just cant get over the dominate flavor of lavender.

Good Glory is a spring inspired Belgian-style beer, produced as a collaboration between the Euclid Hall beer experts and Crooked Stave. The use of rich Vienna and Munich malts gives the beer a dark copper appearance with a light malt character, suggesting that winter is almost gone and summer is right around the corner. A special Belgian yeast creates plum and dried fruits on the nose with a subtle hint of spice complimented by a touch of hops and a delicate lavender aroma.
