an interesting brew here, with a weird name, i dont totally get it, but its not bad, a sort of red ale and pale ale hybrid with an interesting warm fermented yeast character. it a little flat from the tap and a little estery, but there is a nice malt sweetness here, honey and caramel to it, as well as an almost ipa sort of hop character as well, bitter with a light orange element and a tea-like dried feeling about it, somewhat complex in nose and taste compared to their other beers, which i found to be quite a bit more simplistic and straightforward, generally speaking. there is a lot of body here for its lower abv, and it sits on the tongue awhile after the swallow. good back and forth between the hops and the grain, balanced to be sure. like all the beer in here, this would benefit from higher carbonation, its a little heavy without it, especially as it warms. this place is making some decent beer, but even just okay beer can be totally forgiven and appreciated in an environment this good, what a cool place to sit and drink a beer!

Its not a bad beer but lacks that something that will make it good. Head started strong and fades quickly. Hops are in the glass early but fade away soon. A bit too bitter on the finish. I know this brewery likes to mix up styles, but this beer could be better with a little bit more definition. Very homebrewish.

check my ratings. I don't rate beer this high. If you see what this lines-up against on my 200+ ratings - you'll run out and try and find you some. And that's what I hope you do, or can do. Not an easy brew to come by. I caught some at Heaven and Ale in Chattanooga at the recommendation of Joe the owner. He knows beer and he knows I'm pretty picky as a long time brewer. Usually I try a ffew different brews while I'm there, but one this day - I wasn't leaving this beer for the duration.
This is my kinda brew. It's a raw, unfiltered, unfrivilous, unbridled, unimaginably good brew.
It looks like the water served to the Goonies in the abandon restraurant. Muddy water. Fairly whispy disappating head. Some nice belgian lacing. Perfect amount of carb. Smell is just delightful.
This beer borrows a few great qualities from different styles, but it's a belgian red at heart. Think a brown, mud-water hazy mess of a homebrew that tasted similar to a chimay red only a little better. A little more of a sour note. Some green banana and just enough hops to keep it in perfect balance. There's a lot of yeast cell used for this, and a lot of trubiness mess floating around that's only adding to the sourness and my enjoyment of this.
It looks like a homebrew from an inexperienced brewer, but tastes as good as anything I've drank in the last yr or two. AMAZING BEER!!!! I've had some good beers from this brewery but, imo, this is the gem... I want a keg! There's just some things that are better left unrefined, and this is the perfect example in the beer world.
none better brewed in this state.. now, that's not saying much because tn isn't the hotbed of brewing, but I'd line this up against just about anything as far as my palate is concerned. ACES!!!!
