When Farmer Dave drops in with piles of coriander seeds, and the weekly grain order is piled with light wheat malt instead of pale malt, you are either in "weizen malt hell," or you combine these magical ingredients and brew up Farmer Dave's White Winter Wizard Wit. Light wheat malts combined with fresh coriander seeds make for a delicious, lighter winter ale that is still full bodied and full of flavor!

Had Dave's White Winter Wizard Wit in the Calfkiller beer garden, Sparta, Tenn., on draft into nonic pint.
Pours cloudy gold, with minimal near-white head, leaving only specks of lace down the glass. Aromas of mild orchard and citrus fruits and a bit of saline off pour, then a hint of malt aroma, with some saison spice and floral aromas as warms. On tasting, moderate carbonation carries a little citrus bite to start, then a little hop spice, over a long, drying, but still mildly malty, lightly citrus, crispy finish.
Both simpler and less polished than Blue Moon--a Belgian Wit as Farmhouse Ale.
