From tap at Clancy's downtown Knox . Liked the laid back pub, so beer of course:
Very dark, almost black. Thin 1/4' head, but, a perfect pull served both times.
Ample classic, slightly chocolate leaning malt aromas, CLASSIC . Their name choice says everything about this beer.
Nearly perfect balance of all the classic stout character, and very crushable. Clean, classic.
Adequate carbonation and two CalfKillers was light enough for a great start of sampling through the night!
It is so good thatI hope to find this in NC! I will be looking for it.

Growler fill at Frugal MacDoogal Nashville.
A great looking stout. Oily black and thick, a lot of deep brown head, at least three fingers worth. Smells of chocolate, coffee rinds, toasted bread, and light hops. As the name suggests, this stout is very classic in look as well as flavor. Well balanced flavors of bittersweet chocolate, dark coffee, and a nice finish of hoppy bitterness. The mouthfeel is extremely smooth, very little carbonation, medium bodied. Very slick yet heavy at the same time. Overall another excellent beer from Calfkiller.
