On nitro tap at Boneyard Bistro in Sherman Oaks, CA.
Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. A foamy curtain of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, and slight char aromas. Taste is much the same with char, cocoa powder, and roasted nut flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a smooth, creamy, and slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is light and easy to drink.
Serving type: on nitro tap.
