Lunch Pale is a light-bodied, extra hoppy pale ale. It is dry-hopped with Australian (Ella and Topaz) and American (Cascade) hops for a unique blend of tropical-fruit, citrus and floral flavors. We’ve always believed that a lunch beer is the best reward for a morning’s hard work.

Bomber dated 8/01/16 into a tulip at fridge temp.
Look: super clear light yellow orange with a huge sudsy head.
Smell: lemon essential oil, peach, eucalyptus.
Taste: strong herbal/plant up front, maybe like anise, or almost wood pulp. Biscuit and orange pith on the finish. More bitter than sweet, although it gets sweeter as it goes. Pretty unusual.
Feel: light side of medium, fluffy, and fairly dry. Good drinkability.
Overall: I've had other beers that feature these Australian hops—the first one that comes to mind is Enjoy By Black, I believe—and I still can't quite decide how I feel about them. Either way, a nice departure from the standard IPA flavor bins, and with the good feel, this is a beer I may well pick up again.

On tap at the LA Beer Week Kickoff Festival held at Exposition Park in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.
