The Dun Cow is a Milk Stout (stout brewed with lactose sugar) on nitro. The lactose sugar adds body and sweetness. Combined with the nitro carbonation, it makes this an incredibly smooth, rich and creamy beer. The three distinct dark-roasted malts used in the brew add delicious smooth chocolate & coffee flavors.

On nitro tap at Enegren Brewing Company in Moorpark, CA.
Pours an almost opaque super dark orange-brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, and lactose aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, char, and lactose flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a smooth, creamy, and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.
Serving type: on nitro tap.
