22oz into a tulip, pours like cola, reddish brown, gorgeous garnet when back lit
big fluffy egg cream color head, a ring remains for the entirety, nice initial lacing
scent of a classic bsda but restrained, off phenols are none, little bit of the ooze from the bottom of a plum crate
taste too is true to the style, initial figgy plum, a little purple grape, lightly sweet, caramel in the aftertaste which pleasantly lingers, zero bitter
also, somewhat surprisingly because so too as a true belgian barrel aged bsda, the barrel contribution is restrained, yet clearly obvious
shy of medium mouthfeel
