On tap at Enegren Brewing Company in Moorpark, CA.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy lattice of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and grassy aromas. Taste is much the same with grain and grassy flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is light and easy to drink.

On tap during the 1st year anniversary party. Started with the lightest and lowest ABV on the board. Top left and first of 9. Reviewed from notes.

A: Pours a clear lemon yellow with a thin white head which leaves some spots.

N: Mild floral hops and faint citrus notes.

T: Wheat grain, citrus, and muted floral.

M: Light body and carbonation. Fairly dry and semi-bitter finish. Crisp and refreshing.

O: A nice session beer and easy drinking on a warm summer afternoon.

Clear golden yellow color with a white head. Decent hippiness on the aroma. Mostly floral with a light citrus quality. Some cracker and biscuit malt notes give a little bit of sweetness. Flavor is a tad bland, but not awful. Cracker and biscuit malt, very faint floral hops, and a bit of citrus peel. Nothing really wrong with it, just not very good.

Edit: Pending a correcition, this is actually an American Blonde Ale.

Third beer I've now tried from Enegren. Had two tasters at the brewery yesterday.

A: The beer pours a golden yellow, good clear clarity, with a about a half inch of white head that stuck around.

S: Medium hop scents from both the nugget & cascade hops are on the nose initially, more than average, but less than a pale ale. Also picked up some scents of mild lemon zest, citrus, a bit of ripe banana, and grain.

T: Light grains & minerals, sweet malt, touch of vanilla, and citrus. Mild hop bite on the finish, which is nice. Low alcohol content, and goes down smooth in triple digit weather. I could session a few of these.

M: Medium carbonation, slight cream texture, light and crisp.

O: Admittedly, I don’t partake in that many pilsners or lagers, but when it’s this hot, and I still crave beer, I do, and this hit the spot just right for both. Enjoyable, and refreshing.
