Protector DIPA dry-hopped with Nugget hops.
Pours a slightly hazy copper orange with a 1/2 inch off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. A thick curtain of lace cascades down the glass after each sip. Smell is of citrus zest and herbal hops with a subtle malt presence. Taste is of citrus zest, grapefruit, big herbal hops, and a malt backbone. There is a mild hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good DIPA (as Protector as the base) with the nice presence of Nugget hops in the mix.
