Spearhead is proud to mark a new partnership with Ducks Unlimited Canada by introducing its new Decoy Lager. For every six-pack that you buy, Spearhead will donate $1 to wildlife habitat conservation. Spearhead’s Decoy Lager is light on alcohol (4%) and colour, but not on taste. The aroma and taste exhibit malty sweetness with a clean, fast finish on the palate.

Thick foamy head that dissipates super fast. Color is on the darker side of a light lager, and fairly cloudy. Neutral, clean smell that matches the lack of any discernible flavors. Substantial viscosity with weak carbonation. From an aluminum can.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Jul 7 2022 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a lightly fogged brassy golden colour, stirring up a full inch of fluffy, eggshell-white head that dissipates within two or three minutes. A thin collar and a few wisps on the surface are all that remain, with little in the way of lace - looks alright. Weak aroma of cereals, graininess and bread.
This is a respectable light lager: more flavourful than a macro lite, at the very least. Grainy pale malts and doughy sweetness are the primary flavours; maybe a hint of cereal and grassiness near the finish, followed by a grainy aftertaste that doesn't linger. Light in body, with assertive carbonation that feels prickly on the tongue; very smooth, maybe even a little slick. Excellent drinkability, definitely a viable session lager option.
Final Grade: 3.58, a B grade. Decoy is certainly not bad for a light beer. In fact, I'd say it's solidly above average amongst its craft light competition. That being said, there is nothing about this beer that I would describe as memorable, or even particularly noteworthy if I'm being honest. It's fine for what it is - and I'd normally finish with 'nothing more, nothing less', but the act of buying this beer does result in a charitable donation to a worthy cause... so I suppose it's more like 'nothing less, plus a teensy bit more'.

I bought a can at the LCBO in Ontario 473ml at 4%.
Poured into glass with a 1 finger head leaving a lace as you drink it.
This lager is light enjoyable and very easy to drink better then a Coors light try something different.
Cheers
