At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from the University Ave. West LCBO in nearby downtown Windsor. My first beer from the Kingston, ON brewery.

Tallboy from TBS; dated Apr 5 2023 and served slightly chilled.

Pours foggy and translucent, its golden orange-hued body capped with nearly a finger of dense, foamy white head. It dissipates within a minute or two, dropping down to a thin collar and some filmy wisps on the surface. Malty aroma comprised of biscuit and honey sweetness, with hints of toasted grains and grassy, leafy, slightly floral hops. Slight metallicity, reminiscent of an English ale.

It's a pretty good session ale: mellow flavour profile, with great balance between the hops and malts. Sweet flavours of digestive biscuit, bready pale malts and honey are countered by tea-leafy hops and grassy, floral bitterness that ramps up toward the finish. Slightly sweet, vaguely fruity aftertaste that doesn't linger for long. Light in body, with relatively low carbonation that softly agitates the surface of the palate; smooth mouthfeel that makes this brew effortlessly easy to swig back.

Final Grade: 3.89, a solid B+. Dollar Bill's Private Stock might be one of my favourite Spearhead products, though I think HSPA still comes out on top. Oh, and this brew is contributing to a good cause, as well, which provides some incentive to try this at least once. A pleasant surprise - something I'll be drinking again, and likely one of the best picks I've made at a TBS in years.
