Pours a shortlived moderate head. No lace. Nice soft red hue, opaque. Sharp fruity nose, noticeable alcohol as it warms. Dry and bitter mouth feel. Alkaline. Quite distracting because there's nothing subtle about it. Not to my taste I'm afraid.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Jun 12 2019 and served slightly chilled. Brewed at Brunswick Bierworks in Toronto.
Pours a turbid purplish-magenta colour, generating nearly one centimetre of loose, pink-tinged foam that disappears within sixty seconds. It leaves behind a sickly-thin collar, which is the only sign that there was ever any head to begin with, because there's certainly no lace, or anything resembling a cap. Oh well, at least its colour is attractive. Its aroma is, unsurprisingly, dominated by notes of raspberry and lemon, joined up with hints of floral hops and herbal tea; I'm also getting suggestions of grape and tropical fruit.
A quality fruit beer; the raspberry juiciness remains front and center for much of the sip, accompanied at all times by a low key lemon juice tartness. Hints of passion fruit, strawberry and mango, with floral hops and tea leafiness showing up towards the finish; hints of hibiscus herbal tea and raspberry seeds linger on into the aftertaste. Medium in body, leaning toward full, with light carbonation levels that limply agitate the surface of the palate; feels smooth, slick, and substantial in the mouth. Very easy to drink, with no sign of the 6% whatsoever; not explicitly refreshing, but it still hit the spot on a muggy midsummer's night.
Final Grade: 3.86, a B+. I was seated firmly on the fence for the first half of this review... but once I took a sip or two, it became clear to me that Raspberry Aniara is a very nice pale ale with an interesting, fruity dimension - which, despite its relative intensity, never totally overpowers the base beer. That being said, it really is much more of a fruit beer vs. a run of the mill pale ale, so purchase accordingly - if you like raspberries in your beer, it'll be worth your while to pick this one up.

Milky-pink body, looking like melted strawberry ice cream, with a full head the colour of himalayan salt. A good minute retention, before fading to a thin cover.
Stark raspberry aromas, fresh, and a sense of cream. Getting a sense this is the real deal.
Flavour however, falls flat. There's raspberry for sure, and a milkiness that balances out the acidity, but not the vibrancy expected after the nose and look, and carbonation is lackluster. The sweetness is in control, the tart elements of the berry reigning things in, which is great.
It's worth a try, some might really it enjoy it, but not exemplary. Give it a go with salmon or trout.

Pours opaque bright purplish pink. The foamy pink head lasts a long while, coating the glass in lace. Fresh raspberries, lemon and floral hops in the nose. Sharp lemon notes dominate the taste. Dry raspberry and floral hops around the edges. Light bready malt in there too. The mouthfeel is full bodied and somewhat puckering with light carbonation. Long, tart finish.
This is an interesting fruit beer that is completely dry, not sweet at all. The raspberry is overshadowed by the lemon. Still worth a try.

473 ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase for around $3.65 CDN. Canning date of April 24, 2019.
Appearance - Thick and dense raspberry smoothie. Impressive two fingers of long lasting pinkish-white head. Incredible murkiness and turbidity. A plethora of lacing left behind.
Smell - Fresh raspberries, leafy greens, hint of lemon zest and possibly some blackberries and gooseberries in there too. Impressive intensity.
Taste - Raspberries again, quite intense with some sharp lemon zest and some weedy hops. Comes together beautifully. Not too sweet, not too bitter, very refreshing.
Mouthfeel - Thick and viscous, drinking like a milkshake (well not quite). Lemon zest plays nicely on the tongue.
Overall - Really impressive stuff and one of the beers that surprised me the most. Not something I'd want to have more than one-two of in a go, but immensely satisfying when consumed. Very much worth a shot, and I will likely be picking up another few while they are around. Good job Omnipollo.
