A proper dive bar/soccer pub that doesn’t miss a Stuttgart match. Small but quality food menu. Some great vom fass/draft beer options that rotate often. Also a large selection of unique bottled beers. Staff are friendly and speak great English. Recommend a visit!

A small place in downtown Stuttgart-Vaihingen. Visited many times after going to the English language movie theater about a block away.

A small but hearty menu, and a beer list though small by US brewpub standards offers more variety than any of the other local establishments.

Where Maulwurf really shines are their specials. Their "beer of the month" or "weizen of the month" are always high quality, hard to find brews. Tiny local brewers, far flung Bavarian brewers or hard to find beers from the north are often featured. Beers you won't find anywhere else but the source, or Maulwurf.

The owner is a charming lady who speaks perfect English (turns out she studied at University of Minnesota). Well worth the visit if you are in Stuttgart.

Went here with friends after a trade show. The place is not huge and does not have a huge selection by American standards, but they have a pretty good selection of non-standard German beers in bottles and on tap. They also have a few imports.

Service was a little better other places I've been in Germany, but the guy helping us seemed to become more interested when we talked about the beers.

We didn't eat dinner here, but we had pommes frites and calamari, which were good.

Prices seemed quite reasonable, generally 3-4 euro for 330ml bottles, but up to 18 euro for some of the fancier 750ml bottles.
