At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the Huron Church Rd. LCBO in nearby Windsor. Canned September 23/25. My 2nd beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and 1st for 2025. Radically recommended by Sundae the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Sept 15 2020 and served barely chilled. There are so many stouts & porters awaiting review in my cellar that it's starting to get a bit ridiculous... and with another four-week lockdown on the horizon, I really have no excuse not to start making my way through them all.
Pours a deep, mahogany brownish-black - not quite opaque, as I can make out some crimson red highlights on the glass when it's held next to the lamp. Just over a finger of foamy, beige-coloured head gathers atop, dissipating over the course of the next five minutes or so; a narrow collar of creamy froth remains, with a modest ring of lace also left behind. Cocoa and dark chocolate on the nose, with notes of roasted grain, sweetened coffee and vanilla - nothing out of the ordinary here.
Not bad at all - I'm tasting milk chocolate and roasted barley at the forefront, followed by hints of cocoa, date fruit and coffee grounds. Dark chocolate, caramelized sugars and coffee through the finish, carrying on into a bittersweet aftertaste that persists on the taste buds for a few moments after each sip - the bitter, roasty element lingers a bit longer than the sweetness. Off-dry. Medium in body, with low carbonation levels that weakly nudge the palate; feels very smooth, but also soft and a little slick on the tongue.
Final Grade: 3.69, a B. It's A Stout, alright - I couldn't have said it any better myself. Such a generic description is appropriate for Kensington's stout, which is good I suppose, but definitely not great. The cacao nibs do make this beer a little more dark chocolatey than your average, run of the mill stout... but that just isn't enough to really differentiate the brew and allow it to pull ahead of 'the pack', i.e the dozens of other Ontario-made stouts that tend to pop up during the wintertime. It's worth trying, but I wouldn't search high and low for it.

Look: Pours opaque black, with a 1 1/2 finger light tawny head. Head dissipates slowly leaving a 1/8 finger cover at 5 minutes.
Smell: Milk chocolate and coffee. Very sugary, lovely and fresh.
Taste: Definate coffee kick at the front end, the chocolate comes through into the middle. Less milk chocolate then bitter dark chocolate though. The bitterness lingers through the back end.
Feel: Rich medium to large bodied. Somewhat of an oily sheen throughout.
I'm glad to see more and more stouts appearing in the Ontario market. This one is OK, but not one I'd look for again. It earns a B.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $3.40 CDN. Canned September 15, 2020.
Appearance - Pours nearly black, light eradicating and topped with a finger of light tan head. Good staying power.
Smell - Lots of coffee and hints of chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Very robust and aromatic.
Taste - Very coffee forward, with bits of dark chocolate lingering. Finishes quite bitter, maybe a bit more than expected.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, dry finish, lots of carbonation. Pretty easy to drink.
Overall - Solid if not outstanding stout, certainly above average and one of the better ones on the local market.

Purchased from the LCBO in Toronto. $3.50 for a 473ml can. "Brewed with an unbelievable amount of roasted cacao nibs."
Colour: Deep dark brown
Smell: Quite roasty, lots of cocoa powder and instant coffee grinds, soft maltiness and hazelnuts
Taste: Similar to the nose but not as intense. Definitely some dark chocolate with a touch of coffee and vanilla cream
Mouthfeel: Quite dry with a touch of creaminess, finishes short and drying with lingering maltiness
Overall a pretty straightforward flavoured stout. The nose is actually quite nice and inviting but the palate doesn't really show a lot of those notes to their fullest. This really should've been a touch stronger or brewed as a Russian imperial stout because there's some good medium body here that would flourish with a bit higher ABV. But as it is, for the price especially, its a good everyday stout that should serve well over the coming long winter!
