750 ml capped bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Brew #64, ABV is 6.0%. Golden colour, slightly hazy, enormous white head that lasts "forever" and makes the beer hard to drink. Strong and pleasant spicy and yeasty aroma. The crisp flavour has also distinct spicy and "Belgian" yeasty notes, with a substantial hoppy "bite" in the finish.

75cl bottle. Batch number 86, best before 05.2014. Pours a hazy gold with some orange hues. Fantastic pillowy white head of 2-3 fingers that lasts and lasts. Intricate lacing that really sticks to the glass, a tulip snifter.

Aroma is very appealing. Smells fruity and spicy. Apple and pear mixed with some nutmeg or cinnamon and some pepper. And there are the hops in the nose delivering a bit of a citrus/bitter aroma. Unexpected, but very welcome

Taste is rather similar to the nose with some appealing fruit and spice mixtures. Black pepper, hint of cinnamon, tart apple and pear. Belgian yeast flavor serves as a backbone and features a nice bitter, somewhat citrus finish from the hops. A little bit of a dusty finish as well.

Mouthfeel is lively and nicely carbonated. Crisp and tart finish keeps me interested. Overall an intriguing beer. Well balanced and easy drinking.
