a pale ale thats light in alcohol only. its robust in flavor and even has some body for its reserved strength, fresh in aroma and flavor, a mix of malt balance and bitterness and a more newer school dry hopping, it comes together well, and while it might not be the most distinct beer in the world, it certainly is ahead of the style curve, and will fit in well in idaho i think, where i reckon a lot of the pale ale tastes kind of dated from a recipe standpoint. this is a step more current, without being hazy and thick and without any bitterness. any pale ale drinker will surely enjoy this. just a little bit of orange color to this, good clarity, and a high white head. some citrus to the nose and taste from the hops, fresh orange zest and fleshy grapefruit to me, still a little green and oily and northwestern too, but there is a nice fruity layer that should make this pretty appealing to most beer drinkers. the light bready malt balance is there, the fermentation is clean, and there is a nice pop of bitterness on the swallow, but its quickly gone and close to new again on each sip, not a long linger and slow fade like a lot of these have now. its clean overall and quite well made, simple as it is. glad to have these guys around in idaho now, they make solid beer across the board in my experience so far.

12oz can poured into 14oz tulip. Poured a lightly hazy yellowish-orange color with 1/4 inch of white head that had moderate retention and good lacing.
The aroma was mostly Citra hops, but there was just enough grain showing through to provide a counter-point. Very similar on the tongue, mostly hops, light grain, and just a touch of yeast.
The body was light-medium, and had a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was nice, my can was gone quickly enough. Overall, a pleasant little brew, worth a shot if you see it.
