Poured from a growler filled at the brewery 8/12/11 (notes from 8/13/11):
A - Poured amber gold with hints of tan and orange, with 1/2-finger of off-white small-to-medium bubble head. Low retention, with moderate thin lacing. Shines tan/orange when held up to the light.
S - Apple and grainy wheat apparent immediately, followed by light sweet maltiness, and a hint of artificial grape.
T - Appley sweet graininess hits the tongue first, with that hint of Otter Pop grape. Little bit of hop bitterness takes over, and it finishes with a sweet corn flavor. As it warmed, the beer started to taste more prominently grainy and ricey.
M - Medium body and crisp. A brief fizz of carbonation on the top of the tongue, bitter at the back and sides of the tongue, with a lingering bitterness at the top of the throat.
D - The lighter mody and crispness make it refreshing, but the sweetness is of an intensity and character that doesn't seem to fit quite right. It needed more of the graininess and hop bitterness to balance the apple and grape. I wouldn't turn one of these down if offerd to me, but I'd go for a different lager if given the option.

Growler filled at the brewery.
A: The beer pours a straw yellow color with a big head of white foam that quickly dissipates down to a thin covering. Very fine lacing is noticeable, which clings to the sides of the cup.
S: The beer has an aroma of wheat, apple and malt.
T: A slightly bitter note of hops greets you upon first taste, but is then mellowed out with some sweetness from the malt. A friend of mine noted a hint of grape Otterpop flavoring, and I can't say that I disagree with his discovery.
M: A very light and crisp mouth feel. Alcohol not noticeable.
O: It's a lager, it's good on a hot day, but other than that I don't have much to say. The strange artificial grape flavor was interesting, though.
