Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 11-11-24 into a snifter at 52 degrees.
Look- Black, opaque, medium brown frothy head, small visible particulate at the margins, above average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Coffee, toasted malt, cacao, slight vanilla, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Cacao, coffee, toasted malt, vanilla, mildly sweet, between medium and high strength of flavor.
Feel- Between medium and full body, average carbonation, moderately mouth warming, mildly sweet, highly bitter, chewy, moderately mouth coating properties, highly creamy.
Overall- Deep black and opaque with small particulate visible at the edges. Nose was a pleasant mix of coffee, cacao, toasted malt and vanilla. The flavor really featured the cacao and coffee, but was balanced beautifully by the toasted malt backbone. The body was between medium and full with nice mouth warming and coating properties. This beer does a nice job with the Tiramisu flavor. It was complex, flavorful and well balanced with a feel and look that could not be better. All of these factors lead to a great drinking experience on a cold afternoon.
