My first review- read with a grain of salt.
I'm new to beer. I typically enjoy pilsners/flavorful lagers or stouts/porters. Now I'm discovering IPAs and this one in particular I felt deseved a review.
Can poured into glass. Golden-yellow with mostly translucent qualities (hazy). Relatively dense head. Lingers for a bit.
Incredible fruit-forward aroma- orage juice/pinapple, mostly.
The flavor is why I was compelled to write something. This might be the best beer I've tasted- even though I haven't really liked other IPAs. It's very easy to drink, considering a hefty 8.5%. Only a little bitterness in the aftertase. Otherwise deliciously fruity without being too sour or lacking malt. I get mostly tangerine, but it's a delightful citrusy fruity blend.
It does feels less carbonated than some other beers. Strong nasal sensations when sipping. It's smooth and juicy.
I like what Icicle is doing, and I definetly plan on restocking this one. Cheers.
