My first from this Potsdam micro, I'd like to give them a micro-review but can't because I find no English button. So I can't read their story... which is extensive and with good visuals... but all in German. Good beer culture from this Postdam micro. They follow the natural, Bio, sustainable brewing principles.
But I recognize now this lack-of-English-button is a cultural norm until such point as the micro is ready to expand beyond the Continent's 100 million German speakers. (By analogy, this would be like a Midwest brewer wanting to expand their market to either coast; prepare for the market when you are ready to expand to it.) So most German micro's lack-of-English does make economic sense, but it annoys me and detracts from my usually generous Overall Hugs.
That tirade aside, I'd like more body from this Dunkel. It's suppose to be a light drinking beer for dark days. And I suppose it is that. But besides its pretty amber bod and foam, this beer lacks character. Give me more of that -- and an English button -- and I'll revisit your beers.

Pours an amber-dark brown color with a noisily collapsing, bubbly white head.
Smells of rustic bread, popcorn, dried grass, marzipan and a toffee coating.
Has a light, sparkly, malt defined body, well balanced and refreshing, which is due to the noteable, slightly metallic carbonation.
Tastes of bread crust, toffee, bakers chocolate and a floral hint, which opens up the palate to leaves and grass, genuinely wrapped up by more toffee malts. Finishes thin, with coppery toffee and a very subtle tartness, comlimenting the malts.
Very soft on the tongue, with enough depth to the malts to evoke a nice, entertaining flavor profile. Considering its style, this is still certainly on the light bodied side of things.

One cold January Sunday afternoon I visited the brewpub and tried all four beers available: this being the second. I also believe this beer has other names when it suits the brewer.
It came semi-cloudy in a tall handled glass containing 0.3 litres, the head an off-white cap of bubbles, body wise the colour was amber/brown.
The smell was of mildly sweet malts and hints of yeast, I had to take a sniff of the Hell my wife had, just to make sure: because the Dunkel had the same aroma as my last beer (the Hell). I think this beer has a bit more chocolate malt, or something similar to give it a darker colour and extra sweetness. You may as well read my Hell review because the beers are very, very similar apart from their looks and the Dunkel being slightly sweeter. Alcohol content is also 4.9% ABV, just like the Hell.
