Contrary to the name, this beer is far from basic. We mashed in with pumpkin, boiled with pumpkin and even "dry-hopped" with pumpkin but the addition of the medley of fall spices and Dawson Taylor cold-pressed coffee you may start to feel like you're at your local coffee shop enjoying the flavors of the Fall. An addition of lactose sugar gives the beer a hint of sweetness to enhance to cinnamon sticks steeped in the mash and compliment the coffee. It's the flavors you crave this time of year.

On nitro at brewery. Initial burst of aroma is spicy, savory peppery, nutmeg. Dark ruby/amber with creamy head. More of the fall spice comes out in the flavor, not as spicy as aroma hints at. Finishes kind of flat though.

Crowler from the taproom tonight for $8... Pours slightly hazed amber red... lightly spicy with some background coffee.. a mild sweetness helps tie things together... Pretty good... One of the better pumpkin beer concepts I've had this year... I personally would like a beer that is not so watery.
