Bottle from the brewery. This was the one I was looking forward to the most, and was let down. Good, but not great like I had hoped. A decent doppelbock, little added by the whiskey barrels, some light whiskey notes in the aroma and finish. Dark brown pour. small foamy head, some dark roasty notes and sweet malt character. Maybe better than rated, but I was a little underwhelmed.
