Can from the Boise Co-op. Pours out a deep, rich amber, cloudy. Small, tight head, lots of lacing. A bit darker than expected. Aroma is mellow, grainy. Taste brings a much fuller, bready flavor . Tasty and light.

a fine pint of golden ale here, flavorful, clean, nicely hopped. its got to have something to do with golf, as the handle has a golf theme, different than the rest of the payette lineup. i hope this isnt just a special edition one time thing, because i would drink this kind of constantly if it remains available. crystal clear golden but still apparently wheat based, fresh floral hop aroma with nuances of hay and lime, kind of rustic for how refined it appears, and there is a mild, dry, cereal malt profile underneath, minimal still, but more interesting than a lot of these ever end up being. its a golden ale sure, but it almost drinks like a new school ipa, that is exceedingly hoppy without being bitter at all, this is definitely real hoppy for the style, a neat mix of varietals it must be, because i get the grassy noble thing first and then a neat soft citrus complexion later on, all incredibly fresh. the grain has some nuance too which is cool in one of these, not at all monotonous, and the finish is fast and clean and dry. a really good beer for the spring, even the hops have a spring vibe to them. highly sessionable, delicious light beer.
