16 oz can from Brewers Haven. Hazy orange golden pour, pear nectar. Aroma is tropical fruit, melon. More of the same in the taste, ripened fruit . Juicy and creamy

On tap at Growler Guys, Meridian; served in an IPA nonic.
A: Beautiful soft hazy straw/gold with a nice white head and minimal Lacing.
S: Fresh juicy mango, tropical fruits with a side order of unripe citrus. Some floral and earthy notes too.
T: Nice mango bite, soft fruity juiciness, orange and peach, light spice/earth notes.
MF: Smooth, medium body with light finishing dryness.
O: Pretty dang OK. I dig the mango notes.

i absolutely love the art on these cans, super unique and smart, just looks really cool, quite different from their branding on most of the rest of their stuff. the beer is pretty solid too, mango can be a really tough fruit to work with in beer, but i think they did a reasonable job with it here. its far hazier and murkier than i personally find appealing, but the beer isnt as heavy as it looks like it should be. its uplifted by big tropical fruit notes, well beyond the mango, which is subtle here, not too sweet, and readily identifiable as mango, not some generic juiciness, its real mango to me. the hops and fruit go together well, with notes of fresh flowers and sliced citrus on the hop side, but also more bitterness than most of these hazy ones seem to ever have, a little bitter bite right at the end kind of cuts off the mango sweetness and gets it back into the ipa realm, i like that a lot. i think it could take a little more carbonation, these flavors taste way more lively than the beer feels to me, and some of the stachiness of the grain could drop out as well, this feels a little fuller to me than it needs to be, but without being outwardly malty in the traditional sense. this is one of those beers i wish they would keep making, not because im head over heels in love with it or anything, but because a few more batches and they would have it so dialed in. this is better than a work in progress, and i liked it a lot, but it doesnt quite taste like its maxed out its potential. fun beer though, and awesome label art!
edit: this is way better from the tap than the can in my experience, more of a real live mango flavor, less heaviness and sedimentation, and just a cleaner overall experience, with the flavors spread out a little better and seemingly fresher too. raising a few scores to acknowledge how good this is on tap!

Added as American IPA rather than NE. They claim Hazy in the name but there is absolutely no haze. Nearly clear golden color. 11 IBU allow some juicy flavor but not that interesting. Very light, not juicy feel.
