Crowler from brewery. Hazy straw color, small bubbly head fades. Aroma is lacto, vanilla. Taste brings more milkshake flavors, along with some light orange. Smooth and sweet.

16oz can (no canning date visible) poured into a Sam Smith nonic. Pours a mostly straw-ish gold with a light-to-medium haze and evident effervescence; fairly strong impressions of mango on the nose and palate; honey; pineapple; impressions of melon; floral, juicy and tropical notes, with a hint of spice and a bready malt backbone. A more-than-serviceable but fairly forgettable NEIPA.

i like this one a lot, drinks way lighter than it should for a new england style and for a beer thats approaching 8% abv, its way easier than anticipated, and as such maybe a bit dangerous. its lighter in appearance than a lot of them, not thick and milky at all, just more of an unfiltered wheaty look about it, nice head from the can and good carbonation rising up. aroma is great, and the hop profile here is excellent, citra for sure, some melon notes suggest el dorado or amarillo too, and overall there is a real tropical vibe to it, with some canned pineapple, even passion fruit to me, and a fresh flowers aspect, nicely put together, and it all comes through in the flavor too, where mosaic and citra together can now be appreciated, and all of the fruitiness in the nose remains. the grain is light on this one, surprising for its strength, but there is little more than a dry cereal note under all the hops, makes sense for this time of year, but almost delicate to me, especially with all the hops. overall a cool recipe and nicely executed, one of the better hoppy beers i have had from these guys. part of a rotating series i guess, but it might be one to consider keeping around...

edit: this is equally impressive each time i have it, well better than most other hoppy beers these guys do. delicious!
