Draft at PreFunk. Super hazy, dark golden, small creamy head. Aroma barely shows up, but taste kicks in with a nice array of flavors. Malts, grains, hops, floral flavors . Slow burn on the palate, lingers for a while, blooms. Looks good, then builds to a crescendo. Give it time

On tap in Meridian; shows almost completely clear pale gold in the glass, minimal head and lacing. Hmmm...interesting nose, smells funky, a little Belgian...checked with the bartender, this is definitely the right brew...Pilsner malt...banana? Fairly vegetal at times with hints of green hop vine. Definitely not bright and hoppy or citrusy. Well, apparently they brew yearly with a different fresh hop; not sure what the fresh hop was this year, or if Payette used a funky yeast, but this one just tastes off, for a Fresh Hop ale.

16 oz can- Pours hazy with a medium white head with decent retention. Aroma is clean, crisp, lemony, some grains but pretty restrained. The flavor is delicious, wow somewhat muted at first, then bam a wallop of flavor, mango, orange, pineapple, nice sweet malt mixes nicely. This is very good, Payette is hitting it outta the park with these Hazy IPA's .

a wet hop amarillo brew here, a little maltier than i think it needs to be to showcase the hops best, but a nice drinkable brew thats quite obviously done with fresh hops, and a nice continuation of this series. i think the hops are awesome in it, which is why i wish for a little less of the crystal malt in here. the beer is easy drinking, the richer grain doesnt make it heavy at all, thats not the issue, its that the nutty toasted flavor is pretty robust here, autumnal and nice and all, but it runs long, into the hop space, and i think doesnt allow for the full glory of the wet amarillo. even through the grain and the honey sweetness it brings, i get cool notes of ripe melon and tangerine from the hops, light mango and even a little red pepper too which i sometimes get in wet hop beer, more in nose than taste though here. lots of citrus as it warms up, good balance, and even a little green bitterness at the end. smooth and lightly oily, clean ferment. i think i like their other wet hop, the wet n wilder, with fresh chinook hops, a little better than this one, at least as an expression of wet hops in general, but both are nice and its cool they released a couple of them this year. man i love drinking beer in the fall!
