a collaboration with icicle, who is new to idaho. this is a massive imperial hazy one, but it drinks somewhat light for what ti is. while the hops sure are intense enough to match the abv, the weight of the beer and actual alcohol presence are somewhat mild for what this is, pretty impressive. it does have a touch of over hopped character to it, green a bitey for a second on the swallow, but its minimal for how big this really is on the whole. hazy lemon yellow colored brew from the tap with a short white head. tons of fruity character from pineapple candy to ripe kiwi and wine grape, very dynamic, some lemongrass and green herbal depth as well, juicy without being cloying, the grain profile is subtle, wheaty, dry for what it is, and simple overall. green gooseberry, apple, and lemon notes are all here too, even a melony thing, some honey character but not sweetness, and a relatively clean fermentation profile too. this is solid stuff, i dont need a hazy beer thats 10% abv very often, but if i did, i would likely drink this one. nice to see so much innovation from payette lately, things were getting a bit stuffy, so its been awesome to see a bunch of new ones hit all at once. this is for a select audience, but its solid.
