16oz can, relatively fresh, poured into a can-shaped nonic.
A: Beautiful clear-ish golden pour with a fluffy white head; second half of can pours with some floaties.
S: Pungent and hugely aromatic nose of tropical fruit reminiscent of mango, peach, and stone fruit, with a sticky resiny undertone.
T: More on the palate with a solid sappy bitterness; pungent, but not overly bitter, with a nice foundation of malt, grapefruit, and spice.
MF: Smooth, with minor present bitterness and some underlying competing sweetness. The hops are really there in flavor and aromas without overtaking the palate with bitterness.
O: Really, really solid - maybe my favorite Payette IPA EVER.

ill tell you what, this might be the best hoppy beer i have ever had from payette, and i feel like i have had most of them by now, certainly all they have done over the last few years, and this really is outstanding, something that i know is for a special occasion and a special cause, but one they should consider keeping in their regular lineup. really lively from the pint can, frothy white headed with nice lace, not too dense looking, with a deep orange tone to it. aroma and flavor are awesome, this hop profile is immediately sexy, peaches and apricots, guava too to me, and an astounding freshness. it doesnt drop off at all from nose to taste, the hops are bold but there is no bite here at all, nothing green about it, and the finish is relatively quick and clean for what it is. i like this feeling a little fuller but finishing dry and staying nicely carbonated throughout, and i like the dramatic fruitiness of the hops without much bitterness in the finish, it almost defies logic. i wish i knew what the hops were, i get some tangerine as it comes up to temperature a bit, and just a little bit of richer malt behind all the hops for more than just textural balance but some nice grounding flavor too, ever so slightly nutty. impressive offering here, a new high water mark for payette in the hoppy styles. get some before its gone!

16oz can from Homebrewstuff. Hazy orange, small foamy head fades. Fruity tropical aroma, notes of peaches, stone fruit. Taste brings some dank to the fruity flavors. Juicy, creamy, full bodied. Enjoying this.
