Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a beige film that fades to a collar
Smell: Chocolate, macadamia and coconut tones; not picking up much from the barrel
Taste: Chocolate and macadamia nut forward with just a touch of coconut emerging; not much barrel in the flavor progression and a plastic flavor dominates the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation
Overall: This sounded promising but didn't live up to the billing on the can
Thanks, JohnGalt1, for the opportunity

12oz can pours out pitch black with a finger of mocha-colored head. Sweet and roasty nose with impressions of that macadamia nut and cocoa, more coconut on the taste with roasty chocolate and nutty sweetness and some notes of coffee as well.

Draft at Payette. Near black pour, razor thin ring of head. Roasty aroma, sweet notes, nutty. Interesting that coconut isn't immediately evident. Taste brings light coconut notes (extract), macadamias are front and center, any chocolate is just the residual roasty malt notes. Oily feel, dry, mouth coating.
