True to its German heritage, Hell Pony Maibock is a strong lager with bready many characteristics and a sweetness that comes through both on the nose and in the flavor profile. We gave this humble brew a little something extra, adding one pound of honey for every barrel brewed. 25 IBUs

Another beer that I don't specifically remember but gave it a good rating.

Well executed maibock, plenty of malt up front in the aroma and taste. Body is on the heavier side, slippery , slight tang on the finish. The Germans would be proud.

Picked up a chub fill at the brewery tonight... paid $5... pretty reasonable.
Pours a fairly clear orange with a nice white head... splotchy lacing.
The nose is pretty good... good clean pale malt presence with some minor toastiness... light hoppiness but no real varietal sticks out.
Flavor mirrors the nose perfectly... very clean.
Medium body ... carbonation is perhaps a bit light for the style, but that is a minor bitch.
Well done.
4's across the board.
