More of a dubbel style Belgian beer than a saison / farmhouse - has a heavier, peppery Belgian yeast with some banana phenols and clove, etc...fine if generic just mis-classified.

on tap at the brewpub this afternoon.
Served in a snifter, body was very hazy orange/yellow, with small white head that persisited. Carbonation was not detected until the finish. Lacing was pretty good and consistent
Wasn't getting much on the nose at all. A slight whiff of hay.
Taste was decent, here's some carbonation, mild fruitiness, hay ,straw taste. Some mustiness as well
Mouth was medium for the beer, sour wash and tart carbonation finish.
Overall, an okay beer. Much preferred the barrel offering with the ginger and lemongrass.

A: Poured from a growler a translucent orange showing a frothy 1 finger flour white head atop. Retention ws rather short as was the lacing. A quiet whisper of spacious effervesce rises slowly to the top.
S: Light musky tangerine-orange, small lemon tartness, None to spicy. Lacks a good tartness, and snap. Wheres the funk and spice.
T: Spicy bite of tangerines and oranges for flavor, light muskiness is exposed along with some wheat. Flavor could use some funk and spice, seems like it was played safe here, smooth, though a bit light in funk and spice as was with the nose. Lacked some sharpness in character as well. A bit of nobel warming flowers.
M: Light bodied, some sour funk presence but generally very light in delivery. Carbonation was null and void, generally like a bit of snap and fizzle per style, some orange fade on the passing.
O: Overall with consideration per locale, this is an easy and accessible entry into the world of saisons, its not going to light the world on fire with grizzled season vets who come to enjoy a strong belgium funk and spiciness per style but should be generally accepted well by those unfamiliar with style and the immediate locale.
