Handsome coppery brew with not much foam in my Copper Kettle goblet. I'm surprised at the category-- not having read the details I would call it an American Strong Ale. But it does have the drying finish of the Belgian yeast. Starts with an overabundance of sweetness but there's a sharp white wine finish.
Sort of a beery fruit juice taste. Flavors of green tea and pineapple juice. Unfortunately this flattens out as you sip so it's not a very pleasant mouthfeel. I'm thinking Long Island Iced Tea with a dash of bitters. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Grapevine Liquor on South Monaco.

Nice dark copper body; very thin, wispy head. Caramel and toffee notes in the nose. Roasted grain flavors with some brown sugar qualities; somewhat harsh grain and alcohol bitterness. Heavy body; flat with a strong residual sugar density.
This beer just doesn't quite get it together. The body looks good yet it lacks any decent, lasting head. The aroma is its strongest point yet comes across somewhat subdued despite its teasing possibilities. The taste and mouthfeel are borderline disappointing in that the various parts never come together in a united, pleasing manner. The taste isn't jarring per se, but it doesn't really blend well, and the mouthfeel is just plain flat and syrupy, probably due to a lack of sufficient carbonation (which also would explain the dismal head).
