Fantastic beer. If I could sum it up, "Liquid Gingerbread Cookie". It's what a winter ale should be. Dark beer, but good malty sweetness that you would expect in a winter warmer, along with the rich flavors best enjoyed before a roaring fireplace. It DOES vary from batch to batch a little (the second batch had less anise presence in it), but all in all, a HIGHLY recommendable beer I would (AND DO) drink again.

On tap at Copper Kettle. Dark brown with a short head. Smells like spices, nothing to get excited about but not offensive either. The taste is absolutely horrendous. Cherry Mentholatum on the front makes it taste like a Hall's cough drop, gross. This was the first copper kettle beer I did not like, tough to swallow.
