Copper Kettle may have given this a new name, or may be in the process of doing so. However, when recently there it was just called their "Dubbel."
Nice dark amber color with a nice off white head that is appealing and pretty.
Nose is very fruity and full of esters. One might actually think it is a Belgian dubbel on first smell with that nice fruity/stone fruit/pear character to the nose.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied but rich, nicely carbonated and just "feels good." Invites a drink.
Flavors are layered malts with just about perfect hop balance. Nice fruity stone fruit, fresh pear and undertone of sweet. A nice dubbel, if not perhaps a bit lighter than that which would make it perfect.
Nice malty finish, balanced with some nice grapefruit skin bitter.
Nice drink over all.
