Made with "fresh hops from Arvada," a suburb of Denver. Both Cascade and Chinook. An attractive amber color in the tulip glass, with a decent head. On tap at the brewpub.

This is another case where the IBU doesn't seem to be very informative. This stuff is just barely bitter at 75 BIUs claimed, while some beers are undrinkably bitter at 50.

An interesting warm malty flavor is the base. Quite mellow overall, with an herbal rather than hoppy taste. A touch of resins, and an odd taste like those little passion fruits you scoop out of their shells. I totally don't get any of the usual hop taste. This is one for the brewing detective.

fresh hop beer from copper kettle, on tap at bike cafe. the pours is a cloudy dull sort of orange color, with a patchy big bubbled off white head that fades after a minute or two. the nose is great, very very fresh smelling, medium toast american barley malt and a whole heap of fresh hops. i cant readily identify the variety, but i can tell you its quite fruity, without being citrusy. the flavor is about the same, with the hops way up front and almost no bitterness. it tastes like a beer blended with fresh pineapple juice, the hops are exactly like that. finish is smooth and clean. feel works okay, could stand a little more carbonation i think, but the body is medium and i would gladly have several of these. really tasty and distinct. if anyone gets any info about the hops used here, pass it on.
