The British empire had a big problem. The British army could not be expected to perform well without the availability of good beer. The beer arriving in bombay from london was virtually undrinkable. The preservative powers of hops made the answer obvious.....more Hops! India pale ale was born. Our version has double the rate of hop infusions balanced with five different malts. A flavorful beer indeed. Enjoy!

Reviewed from tasting notes, on tap at the brewery. Golden copper color, hazy. Slight piney smell, mostly sweet malt aroma. Flavor pretty munched matched the smell, kinda dissapointing, I expected a bit more hoppiness. Medium bodied. Certainly drinkable, but with the name I expected a bit more in the hops department.

This beer was more of a English ipa scotch ale and not near a west coast ipa. So was suprised that it wasn't hoppy while expecting the hops to bite back. So after readjusting my expectations it was quite good. Full body with lots of malts and easy to drink ale.
